Ron started playing guitar at the age of nine. He took lessons for about five years and has been self taught since that time. At twelve years of age, Ron was accepted into Mark Twain Junior High School for the Gifted and Talented in New York City.

He chose music as his path but since there was no guitar program, he picked up the violin. Ron sat first chair in the school orchestra and performed with the Brooklyn Borough-wide Junior Orchestra. Since the classical training, Ron has played in numerous working rock bands with hundreds of gigs under his belt.
